Walk Down Memory Lane – Alzheimers Society
May 26, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

At the event, it is possible to give cash donations to the secure Alzheimer Society collection buckets. It is also possible to donate through our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ustinovwalk
All contributions, no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference to the support given to those affected by Alzheimer’s.
Why are we doing this?
Monday 20th May until Sunday 26th May marks Dementia Action Week- a week that unites individuals, workplaces and communities to take action and improve the lives of people living with dementia.
Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. This means almost all of us knows someone affected by the disease. Dementia doesn’t just affect old people but is increasingly affecting younger people as well. Currently, there is no cure for dementia despite heavy efforts by scientists and doctors.
Memories are some of the most important things we have and the architecture of our identity. The Alzheimer’s Society thus needs YOUR help to find a cure and effective treatment.
The event is family friendly where the walking area is suitable for the entire family! Strollers, children, wheelchairs, runners, walkers, etc can all access and participate.
